SUVs Do Lunch
I've had the pleasure of lunch at Backsberg wine estate twice over the past few months. Such a beautiful setting and the food is divine. The roast potatoes are probably the best I have ever had. Two great family lunches to remember. The surroundings are awe-inspiring and made a good backdrop for a few SUV pics. The Suzuki is mine and the Kia belongs to my dad.

Austin Family
I took these pics in Sedgefield along the Garden Route. This Austin 7 is the Granddad of my car. It was for sale and I was very tempted. They had a Mini for sale too but was much to rich at R48K and was very rusty.

Elf-Hornet Register
I have been posting a few messages on the UK Elf/Hornet forum and a few more Mk3 owners have come out of the woodwork. Its fantastic to meet local enthusiasts via a UK based website, the wonders of the modern internet-enabled world. Also fantastic is that the forum moderators welcome Austin Mk3 discussion even though they are not strictly Elfs (Elves?) or Hornets.
I wanted to post this picture which is an original period press pic. It is the only period picture I have ever seen showing a car with the same two tone color scheme as mine.

Kitty Visitors
There are a few regular visitors in our neighborhood. Tinkerbell is the most frequent garden guest. She's a very sweet ginger tabby mix who loves our pot plants. Puccini has become quite tolerant of her as long as she stays out of his space. There's a little black and white tuxedo cat who is often outside of the gate. Then theres this, the Abyssinian in the pics from two houses up.
Tosca and Puccini
My two kitties. The black one is Tosca and I have had her for years. She's about 12 now. The stripy monster is Puccini, aka Pterodactyl Pterror Cat, Peanut The Destroyer or mostly just Ccini. He came from the dump at GF Jooste Hospital and was brought up by Justin from about 6 weeks of age.
Garden Pics
We are moving house soon, so these are the last pics of our current garden. We will now have a real bit of ground to plant things in; can't wait!
Mini Kapini - A New Project
Just recently bought this little 1970 Mk3 for my sister's boyfriend. Its beautiful and really original and is going to be restored to great usable condition. It still has many of its original features but will need a strip down and bare metal respray. The grubby bits will also need going through. He's known as Mini Kapini for reasons unknown, not sure if the name will stick.
George Old Car Show 2012 - English Cars
My car was the only original Mini at the show. It was displayed in the "English Cars" category and had good company in the form of Morris Minors, MGs and even some Lotuses.
